I'd been with Telstra BigPond cable for 2+ years and VOIP has gradually been getting worse with the other end hearing echos and voices being garbled at times.
I thought it was issues with my SPA3000 ATA (updated firmware, tweaked settings) but the problem disappeared as soon as I changed to my new Optus cable plan!
Now I don't think its the provider as much as the fact that I went from an upload speed of 128kbps to a much faster 512kbps.
Anyway while I'm still crossing my fingers, I believe the problem has gone.
