You must broadcast Wi-Fi SSID for Android to connect!

I believe that most people think its a good idea to disable Wi-Fi SSID broadcasting, those that disagree appear to believe you don't need to lock your house's front door if the front gate is locked.

What those that agree do is broadcast for the initial connection and then disable the broadcasting as its not required for future reconnections. Unfortunately it is on Android (at least on my 2.0 Milestone).

Looks like their is at least one free application called "Hidden SSID enabler" to fix this.

I have now tried HiddenSSID Enabler and it can be made to work if you persist, I had to press the button many times and sacrifice a lamb but somehow it eventually worked (Motorola Milestone with v2.1).

Its possible that the tool is not as bad as it looks and any issues are Androids...
